Kunyu Publishing Company Limited is a publishing company jointly established by SinoMaps Press, Sinminchu Publishing Company Limited and Wan Li Book Company Limited in the summer of 2005. By integrating resources of the three companies, it aims at disseminating geographical, economical, cultural and social knowledge of China to readers worldwide by publishing various professional atlases, travel maps and guides in Chinese, English and other editions. Since it was established in 1954, SinoMaps Press has published various editions of the atlas of China. The 2006 edition Atlas of China, compiled with digital mapping technique and the latest data available, is an important reference book for a general study of China and its geographical background.
